A little birdie told me it's up to three or four loaded trains a day, and based on what I've been seeing during daylight, I believe it. One recent Saturday morning, there were five R.B. trains at Hauser Yard at the same time, three loaded and two empty. (One of the loads and one of the empties were on the fuel pad.) It looked kinda like Bluefield, W.V. And there were more coal trains through Hauser later in the day, some for Boardman and Centralia. The railfan press have been way behind the curve on covering this; their most recent reports simply state that BNSF will be increasing its coal traffic to export for China in the near future. The near future started months ago. Yes, this coal traffic should grow even more if that Peabody facility ever gets built, but the big increase in coal exports is already well under way.
