BNSF was testing grain and/or coal loads via Stevens almost a year or so ago to see how the DPUs would manage, but that's the last I heard of loads going that way. I've been too busy at work and home to pay much attention to what's happening west of Spokane the past month or so, other than what I hear on the scanner at home, so I can't verify one way or another. I wonder if the "coal" loads being seen through Wenatchee have actually been the Billings to Roberts Bank petroleum coke train, which looks like a coal train but with different hoppers than the R.B. coal and with far fewer loads to drag up the mountain.
