Kelly and I went to see Unstoppable yesterday ($6.50 each for the movie plus $4.50 for the Pepsi we SHARED) and found it to be quite good overall. Except for a few impossible scenes and the fact that the initial switch was already lined for the trailing movement plus Denzel had trouble diferentiating between the automatic and the independent brake valve or that they never built a 5,000 hp SD-40 it was a GOOD show.
Immediately after we left the theater in Canby (OR) I had the task of moving one of our SW-8's from one end of town to the other. Kinda like running a big lawnmower as opposed to the action in the film!!! Bu then, a lot of shortline railroading is done in the 10 mph range.
