The tracks are still (mostly) in place from Folsom Jct. (cut off from the light rail line) to Missouri Flat Road. Missouri Flat to Camino is mostly bike path or widened Highway 50 now. Several projects proposed for funding would extend the bike path west to Shingle Springs, which would probably eliminate the tracks there in the process. You can see the line pretty clearly in Google Maps' satellite view.

Google "Placerville Branch" and you'll find lots of stuff. Top item (a good one) is from a site mentioned recently here: [www.abandonedrails.com]

My questions had to do more with the part that's still operating, along Folsom Blvd. from Brighton (jct. with UP main line) to Aerojet (RT Hazel Ave. station).
