Great info, George... thanks... as to your question, I have always assumed that there was a buy Canadian factor that kept Montreal Locomotive Works going. Sure, EMD London was in Canada, too, so I would assume they split the orders in the late 60s and through the 70s.

When did the Canadian railroads finally start buying GEs?
