What's the latest with the DM&E?

Some time ago, before they got bought out by the Canadians, the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern was in the process of trying to extend their rail line westward to the Powder River basin in Wyoming. The plan was to haul coal, and give the UP and BNSF some competition. I haven't heard anything new about the venture in some time. What's the latest? Thanks in advance.
