A couple of the "Last Interurban"

A quiet summer's afternoon in Michigan City as a train from Chicage rolls down 10th nearing the end of its run in August of 1980.

A cold, cloudy morning in Gary, Indiana on the South Shore of Lake Michigan also in August of 1980. One of the South Shore's "800" class locomotives, #802, is pulling thru the station to go work on transfer runs in Hammond and Gary. Also August of 1980.
