There's five RDCs in Oregon (more than actually existed during the heyday of the RDC) that aren't doing anything. Three of which (the Wallowa Union owned units, ex-ODOT, nee-BC Rail) are for sale. Two owned by the Pacific Northwest Chapter NRHS and haven't moved an inch in years (ex-B&M RDC-9s). Two more RDC-1s on the POTB used by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. Two more owned by TriMet.

Why have a waterlogged RDC-1 (as unique as it is being the one-and-only former SP unit) when there's five RDCs with good bodies, three of which are operable, in Oregon?
