I was privileged to ride the Budd car between Oakland Pier and Davis during the 50's when it was new and SP billed it as the "Pocket Streamliner". Although the schedule wasn't the most convenient to us, I talked my father into a return trip home aboard the RDC. Obvious the schedule wasn't convenient to lots of people and thus it's move to the NWP a few years later.
