SP&S 539 sale

It was stated on another forum recently tha former SP&S 2-8-2 539 had been sold. This seemed odd to me given the financial state that the country is in and also given the limited locations where this large machine could be used effectively.
I checked with an old friend who I used to work with in WMS, AZ and it is believed that the news of a sale of the 539 is premature. She is still on GCR property.
