The Little Joe that # 36A is sharing the park with was repainted 2 - 3 years ago; I know it looked solid when I last saw it in 2006. Deer Lodge was a Milwaukee crew change point & yard, & the shop for Rocky Mtn. Electrics. The locals are proud of their Milwaukee Road past; as well the Joe's repainting was supervised ( and some funds raised ) by the members of Milwaukee Road Historical Assn. I would say the engines ( & caboose too ) should enjoy a comfortable retirement.
