While cruising the aisles @ a gun show last Saturday, I came upon a display of U.S. Army .45 caliber Model 1911 pistols. Examples from World War 2, by noted gun makers such as Remington & Winchester, as well as Colt, were there, as well as an example made by Union Switch & Signal !!! The information card claims US & S made some 55 Thousand of these in 1943 !!! Could this possibly be the ULTIMATE railroadiana collectible ???
