Police identify man killed after police chase in Oakland [linl]

This incident happened yesterday evening, and ended on San Leandro Street just south of 85th Avenue in East Oakland. The BART elevated tracks run parallel to San Leandro Street from High Street in Oakland to Washington in San Leandro, and is where the northern portion of the proposed bike path would be. Police activity, gang activity, drug activity, shootings, stabblings, prostitution, and dead bodies are pretty common along the section in Oakland. Something to think about before going for a bike ride.
