Ray Maddox was engineer on nearly every movie train with #3 or #28. Regular engineer Joe Francis hated working with the movies and Ray would be called for these jobs.

In February, 1965, following a day of movie filming, Ray let me run #3 from Keystone siding, all the way back to Jamestown. My pick-up was still back at Keystone, so, after putting the engine away, Ray drove me in his truck back down to Keystone to get my truck. I was only 17 and in high school. What a great guy he was; just trying to be nice to a stupid kid who loved trains!
