Thank you for the great pictures of the Number 7, Steve.
One of my earliest memories of trains is riding with my parents in the forest and stopping for a steam engine to cross the road. We lived on a ranch north of White Salmon towards Trout Lake, so we must have been over north of Klickitat. This was probably in the late 1940s. We moved to Yakima in 1949, but came back to visit, so it could have been after 1950.
We were living in Tacoma when Camp 6 was opened and saw Weyerhaeuser bring the Lidgerwood up, from Longview, I believe.
I remember watching the 7 when it first ran at Camp 6, and probably rode behind her.
