The Trains magazine newswire is reporting that former D&H PA #16 has left oregon and is now enroute via BNSF for eventual restoration at the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas.
The newswire story mentioned that the unit left Lebanon March 10, with the carbody on one flatcar and the trucks on another. The unit is supposed to be kept at Fort Worth until the museum's new Frisco facility is ready.
The accompanying photo graph showed the carbody in its unrestored state and still in D&H colors. It had come up to Oregon from Mexico in 2000 with sister unit #18, which Doyle McCormack is now restoring as NKP #190 in Portland.
