What I heard today from the residents adjoining the gulch is that an oak tree fell into the gulch Thursday after being undermined by the heavy rain and it blocked the entrance portal to the culvert. With the portal inlet dammed the gulch quickly filled up with water that almost reached the top of the roadbed. The soil under the roadbed became super saturated and blew out taking the concrete culvert and the oak tree down stream. The oak tree seen in my video fell the next day along with more soil.
