Anschutz owns Xanterra and I believe that when he bought the AOE trainset he was planning to run the trains between various national parks, i.e. Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Bryce, Mt. Rushmore etc. He bailed and sold the set to Ross Rowland, but he still owns Xanterra.
