I'm not so sure about the paving over of Cajon Pass; most of it is in the National Forest, and thus subject to endless studies & reviews before the 1st port - o - john is placed at the 1st construction site. Look at the grief that was dumped on EwePee when they proposed to double - track Cima Hill, on an existing grade & a lot further out on the middle of nowhere. I'm sure the tree huggers will find some sort of boll weevil or cockroach that only lives in the vicinity of Mormon Rocks,( maybe an atheist aardvark ??? ) that will hold up any project.
Besides, the world is going to end this Saturday, according to the Prayer Radio folks. I'd better drive down to Wally World & stock up on toilet paper, Pepsi, & Spam !!!
