I doubt the graffiti will get any worse on locomotives seeing as security around locomotives has got tighter. As for Cajon...who cares? Cajon has been done so many times...poorly...that if they never ran another train over Cajon it wouldn't be a loss. Cajon was NEVER that great to begin with. I've been to every mountain railroad pass in the west (except those in Montana unfortunately) many times and Cajon is the only that I simply drive past with nary a glimpse. It sucks.
There are plenty of other changes ahead that I fear will further dilute and ruin the railroad photography experience; PTC, Gensets, the end of EMD, the end of the searchlight signal, the continuing eradication of loose car railroading, etc.
