" Westbound highway at the Cowitz ( sic ) River bridge. " Also known as Olequa on the railroad, the bridge over the Cowlitz River is actually a better shot for N.B than S/B; this location is just a few miles South of Vader ( S/R 506 ) on the Westside Hwy. The Rocky Point tunnel, just North of Kelso, is a good shot for S/B's; expect to share this location with other fans & probably the RR police as well. I like the curve @ Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, S/R 501 West of Interstate 5. If the refuge is open to vehicles, you can also bag a good distance shot from within the refuge. Otherwise it's a bit of a walk in & out.
