Good luck to the GCR! They laid off 95% of their steam people in 2008 including the only person in the shop qualified to weld on a boiler. I would bet of seeing #29 return next year before I would bet on the 3 or 4 people left there to get 4960 rebuilt. Unless they plan to hire people for the winter to rebuild her or outsource it. While the steam only runs a few days a year no VS all summer when I was there, at least their not scrapped.
