I've heard that BNSF is re-routing some coal trains that normally use ex-CB&Q trackage in the affected area down the Colorado Joint Line and then over the ex-ATSF line across Kansas. This has impacted the Southwest Chief somewhat.

I wonder if Amtrak has considered temporarily re-routing the Zephyr this way?
