The earlier Tejon study, some years ago, hung up, I think, on the speed issue. It said that you needed too many tunnels going through seismic faults, which was unwise. If the new study is coming out differently, how come? Different people writing it? A sober reassessment of the problems of Palmdale?

I keep wondering if anyone will think about slowing the train down. If you do, you need fewer tunnels, seismic problems get manageable, Tejon looks better than ever. Of course, the law forbids the train to be slowed down. Could we, I wonder, amend the law?
