In the shooting that occurred near the CW tracks, the man not was armed and managed to return fire which may have saved his life. Now, from some of the statements about "murder by badge" and all that crap, I suppose that had the man returning fire had killed the guy you would be hollering for him to be charged with murder? To my way of thinking, it is unfortunate that he missed and, if the police had taken this clown alive, mental problems or no, he should have been hanged in Ft. Bragg asap.
