Nice shot. But I sure did not like all that silver paint all over everything. If we had a little oil on our hands or gloves, (and that was all the time) the silver paint would transfer onto our hands/gloves and then all over the control levers. When the 19 was returned to Yreka it took me a long time to talk the manager, (the late Larry Bacon) into painting the hand rails and grips white enamel. He agreed because people who were coming into the cab to look after the runs were getting silver on their hands and clothing too.
