SN's interurbans carried a single train indicator (usually inside the left front window) while most of their freight motors carried a single train indicator above the right front window. Scheduled passenger trains displayed the train number. Extra passenger trains and apparently all freight trains displayed an "X" (denoting Extra) followed by the car or motor number.
