My understanding is that John D Ryan established the hydoelectric power plant at Thompson Falls MT which evolved into Montana Power. Also, he was at some point during electrification of the Milwaukee Road (which came first, second, then third?) simutaneously on the boards of Montana Power, the Anaconda Company and the Milwaukee.... The ulitimate win-win-win proposition
