I recall riding the Suntan about 1955, a Chapter Special where beach goers were dropped at the Boardwalk for the day. The rest of us went to Felton for a picnic in the Redwoods. Two 2-8-0's were the power. Seemed like the power was traded at Watsonville Jct, but the whole trip was steam. A fun day that stays with me 56 years later.
