The future of "Hill" south of Ashland,Or. is not bright. Right now there's very little traffic off of CORP heading to California, so even less incentive to reopen the line.

Two interesting traffic notes, however. The new intermodal facility at Tolo,OR (north of Medford) has been receiving tank car loads of polymers for making MDF, among other things. This facility was financed by Connect Oregon and is located at Cross Creek Trucking's yard. Tank trucks take the resin to Timber Products and Medite. Also, there's reportedly a large transformer at Hornbrook, CA which should be moving south in the near future.
