We were in Santa Cruz in the late afternoon today shopping and stopped by the Interchange near the wye before we headed home. I have been wondering where the ballast hopper was being parked since I had not seen it in Watsonville or at the ProBuild Thompson Street yard. I spotted the ballast hoper on the interchange spur and got out to walk around the wye and interchange area to see if there was any new activity. I though I heard an air whistle in the distance and shortly there after I saw the lights of the Roaring Camp Holiday Lights Trains backing down Chestnut Street. I checked when we got home and tonight was the first run of the season for the Roaring Camp Holiday Lights Trains.
