Your defensive attitude mirrors that of the rest "volunteers" down at the round house. While the new facility might move the locomotives closer to the public’s eye, in now way will they then be open to the public.
Moving from being a bunch of "Boys-and-their-toys" to a open access museum will probably never happen.
Perhaps you have inhaled too many VOC’s spraying all that Imron or drank too much Pepsi down there to think clearly.
Any organization lacking a leader is doomed to never see greatness, sad for the City of Portland's great treasures.
The individual work of the 700, 4449, and 197 groups is amazing and commendable from a preservationist point-of-view. So don't get the two issues confused.
