Sammie,
You might try using a hardwood tie every 3rd tie in curves and use 3/4" screws instead of spikes in the outside holes in the tie plates.I think we sold you those re-punched 136lb plates a while back! Those screws are not cheap-try Portland fasteners on NW17th or Dan Hornberger or Harmer steel.
