Wallowa County is off the beaten track (excuse the pun), but has more than "decent" tourist traffic. The scenery, Wallowa Lake, hiking, camping, horseback riding, the arts community, shopping, some winter sports and numerous summer weekend events make the area a major tourist attraction. There's a reason it's known as "Oregon's Little Switzerland." The railroad just needs to do better at tapping into the already existing tourism as well as add to it.
