Those are the dates the Ex-SP/SSW/CNW/DRGW units were renumbered, and the numbers they were given when renumbered. The units on that list that haven't been renumbered are still assigned UP numbers in UP's roster. ALL units on the UP roster have been assigned numbers for years. Back when they were patching units, a patch kit would arrive in the mail (Fed-Ex?) at whatever shop the unit was at and the kit just contained a set of Scotchlite numbers and some blank yellow rectangles with stick on UP shields and a pair of number board kits. They would check what unit the number was assigned in the UP system and stick the numbers on accordingly. Quite often a unit that was scheduled to be patched for some time would have its assigned UP number changed in the roster, sometime more than twice before the unit was actually patched or renumbered through repaint.
