Keep dreaming. This just in: the one-time Monterey Branch doesn't reach its namesake city anymore. So run that steam train to Seaside Costco and then reverse directions. RDCs are almost as obsolete as steam power. The locals would just love all the smoke. (What do you think Aptos?) Don't forget about connecting the two segments between Castroville and Watsonville Junction. Who would operate this money maker? Nice dream.
