The line from Veracruz to Mexico City via Jalapa is spectacular also. The line from Tampico to San Luis Potosi is amazing as well. All three lines start from sea level and rise several thousand feet.

Mexico had some amazing offerings in the railroad and traction departments. Sadly, so much of it is now gone.
