The last packing house in Fallbrook did lemon packing. Some lumber. Ammo depot and base were main customers on branch till DOD stopped geting freebies. Basically the detour to Fallbrook begins near Lake O'neil (old base hospital) with a grade of up to 132' per mile (about 3%).
