Orientated

Unfortunately "orientated" is in the dictionary. I have always quailed when hearing that "word."
What is wrong with "oriented?" Having worked in IT, you get to hear people talk about "actioning" a problem. Actually I have been asking myself about railroad reporting for some time, and did anyone catch the clueless NBC reporter who pronounced Newfoundland as new-found-land instead of noo-fund-lund?

BTW here is the Amazon link to the Cronon book. I highly recommend this book, among other things it explains the origins of the commodities market.
