Carol,

I am sure I would have done the same if I had grown up here and you are not alone. My photographs of the branch line were a big hit with a local lumber company and they were sent out to their different locations. Below is one of the responses I got back:

Thanks that was fun to see.
I used to climb under and walk the plank out to the middle of that trestle at La Selva beach and wait for the train to come by and hang on for a wild ride when I was a kid. Probably pee my pants today.
