How to really save lives of rail passengers

Ensure that Romney gets elected president and Tea Party Republicans take over the Senate. With the White House and Congress under control by very conservative Republicans federal funding for Amtrak and commuter rail will be eliminated. Most states will not have the funds to replace the eliminated federal funding. Thus, no more passenger trains and no more worrying about freight train collisions with passenger trains.

Another benefit is that it eliminates transportation socialism/"souless collectivism."

See, it's this kind of "out of the box" thinking advanced by the Tea Party which makes the USA great!
