Thank you so much for writing this, Ken. If there are any more tours of the Yolo Bypass, I want to get in on one.

Since the railroad was there before the deep-water ship channel, I have always wondered why the builders of the channel were not required to maintain the continuity of the railroad by building a drawbridge across the new channel.
