Marty misses the point

Railroads have never been boring.

My concern, which seems to be echoed by others, is that railfans are making it boring with narrow-minded photographic pursuits designed to glorify their massive egos. The only thing that seems to matter anymore is the whereabouts of the Heritage painted locomotives. Oh and who got "photo of the day" on those other sites because outranking fellow railfans is an important goal.

We're doomed unless people begin to realize how far we've regressed as a hobby.
