Train Shops and Railroad Books

The recent post about closing train shops brings this to mind:
If you want to purchase books and railroad memorabilia, go to a railroad museum. Most have a shop selling related items. Often when a member dies, his heirs donate his collection to the railroad museum. Those items not needed for the museum archives frequently are sold in the museum store. This gives you an opportunity to purchase books and magazines that are long out of print that you missed the first time. Prices usually are lower that those asked by used book dealers.
In addition you will be helping support the museum.
