Other things from my 1978 tt:
#122 at 4:15 on weekdays was the only SB to make every stop.
#124-6-8 did a variation on the skip-stop dance, with most of the juggling happening south of San Mateo and starting times 5-10 min apart rather than 3. The only set that was 3 min. apart was what Jim mentioned: #130-2-4-6-8
The NB weekday equivalent set for stop-skipping did it in between and at the north end: #121 (started from Santa Clara), 123-5-7-9-131. They arrived in SF 4-5 min apart except 7 min to the last one. The tower operator must have been drenched in coffee to keep up with that crowd!
Interesting: none of the NB trains made every stop.
I guess in those days you had to take responsiblity for understanding the schedule and getting yourself on the right train. The way things were scheduled there wasn't going to be time for much help from the train crews or station staff. And it looks in some cases like it assumed use of the F-Ms where if legend is correct you could pretty much yank the throttle wide open from a stop and run the motors in the red (with no real harm, and maybe with a little sand) until shutting down for the next station.
