Unfortunatly, our dues have long gone to supporting Democrats at all costs, supporting the working man is way down the list somewhere. I used to be a local chairman, but got out of it when the bosses were never available to represent the rank and file, but they continue to raise dues then donate them to politicians rather than helping us. Many of our leaders are professional organizers that have never even been on a train. Working men and women need to pay attention and represent themselves by being fully informed so they know what the politicians and union leadership is doing at all times. Get the monies worth from your
dues by holding union leadership accountable to the membership, not some political party.
