The solution to this is simple. You do what those of us commuters in Chicago do, you adjust your life to fit with the scheduled train service. You get out of bed early or you schedule your meetings for late in the morning. It is not hard.

I read the posts here and I add that I am looking forward to the day when the taxpayers of the US will kick in to provide train service from far west suburban Chicago, Illinois (think Rochelle, IL) to the Connecticut River area of Massachusetts (think Bernardston, MA); I have family there and I would love to be able to ride the train between those points. There was a time (the 30's/40's) when I could have done so. Today, there is no hope.
