Penninsula evenings, Southbound, steam days

Employed in South City; chose to commute by my car from Burlingame.
Apartment across from the humongous grove on the SFO side.
On the way 'home', I would park at one of the SP stations, and watch the parade.
4-6-2s and 4-8-2s, with Harriman commutes. (note spelling)

"BEST SHOW", in my opinion was San Bruno ?? with two local streets crossing on the SP Main at about 45 degrees. With police officer. With proding to the Police Chief, the grade crossing officers started using white gloves. WOW They became believers.

Any readers of my generation ?

Last Harriman commute I saw was on the Sacramento waterfront, close to their sternwheeler;
the last remaining ? Note the different window spacing on the commutes.
