Gary, one problem with message boards is the complete lack of voice tones and body language. Re-read both of your posts, I think there is what could be thought of as a stripe of indifference and permissiveness to the percieved theft, even if that isn't what you intended. Yes, most of us are aware that the line is basically abandoned, and that renewal will also mean complete upgrades of just about everything out there.

Your comments regarding the Loop are probably right-on target, but using grammar like "The wig-wag would almost certainly have to have been removed shortly..." and then in your follow-up "...removed anyway..." could be perceived as indifference. Too bad we can't all stand around in a group talking. Body language and tone of voice are important communication assets. Sorry if I offened you; I get a little annoyed at the stupid things railfans sometimes do, but it looks like the whole project was on the up-and-up after all.
