Hmm. Too bad Portland's (PDX) Union Station couldn't benefit from the added rental revenue to keep up a building that has a new roof project every couple of years, has a totally useless HVAC system (don't dare enter the building when the outside temperature is 80 degrees - the concourse becomes an oven)...

Of course, it's nice that LAUS has a completely open, and unnecessary (for current day operations) ticket counter hall that can be rented out for these purposes rather than being an empty, lifeless hall that costs money to operate and maintain. And Portland's Union Station...well...cram 250 riders waiting to ride a northbound Cascades service train, plus their friends and family...that place gets small, VERY small, very quickly. (Of course a lot of that is simply due to the poor placement of the "crosswalk" across the tracks, versus having overhead or underground walkways.)
